Manchester 'Heat Wave' 2025

I took these videos during a spell of unbroken cloud in mid July 2025.
Temperatures in the early morning were perfectly comfortable.
First is a lovely run to Clayton Vale.
This starts from where I live in the centre of Manchester, via Canal Street, the Rochdale canal,
Philips Park Cemetery and to the lovely Clayton Vale, a huge expanse of green only a km or so from
Coop Live and the Etihad.

This is one of my favourite runs, taking in a few parks- from my home
in the centre, first to Hulme Park, then Alexandra Park, via the lovely Fallowfield Loop
(a former train line, now a nice bike path) to Platt Fields, through Rusholme to Whitworth Park,
through the University of Manchester, passing the RNCM, then back home!

This is another of my common runs around the 10k mark.
Starting at home, I follow the Bridgewater Canal, then cross over to the Manchester Ship Canal and Salford Quays,
including Media City. I return via Ordshall Park an the beautiful Tudor manor, Ordshall Hall, to the Ship Canal,
then River Irwell, cross over to Aviva Studios, through the lovely St John's Gardens, then down Deansgate, back home.
I usually run this route in reverse order.
